Welcome to my website

Hi! I'm Bruno Arsene, a software developer and curious mind currently based in Brussels, Belgium.

I've been building websites for 19 years for fun and 10 years professionally.
I love science and have a strong interest in critical thinking, more precisely in zététique/rational skepticism.
I'm also enthusiastic about neurosciences, metacognition (why we think what we think), cognitive biases, astronomy and philosophy.
My belief is that these are some of the best tools at our disposal to be less wrong about our understanding of the world.

I am fascinated by synthesizers as they can mimic other instruments by modulating signals. I've built my own by following this fantastic guide.

I'm lucky enough to have travelled a fair bit around the world. I've lived in Australia for 3 years and in Costa Rica for a few months. These were culturally rich experiences that deeply impacted my life.

What you'll find here

I intend to use this website to share content about some topics that pique my interest. Mostly about computers, but not only.
Knowledge is meant to be shared. I also believe it is an excellent way to verify our understanding.

If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough. Albert Einstein
In a way, you can see the blog section of this website as collection of personal notes that I use to deepen my understanding of some of the topics I care about.
Hopefully, some of it would arouse your interest and spark some interesting discussions and debates.

You will also find some information about my professional curriculum and some of my projects that I find worthy of sharing.
